https://megatube.mypress.cloud/videos/watch/f7c9f4ab-ecb5-422d-bee6-5f7d3a70ae4c رحلت، أمس، الدبلوماسيّة الفلسطينيّة #ليلى_شهيد التي مثّلت لعقود الصوت الفلسطيني في أوروبا. ليلى المولدة في بيروت عام 1949 لعائلة فلسطينية نفاها الانتداب البريطاني بعد الثورة العربية، حملت القضية الفلسطينية ومطالب الشعب الفلسطيني معها إلى فرنسا وبروكسل ودول أوروبية عدّة جالت عليها بين نهاية الثمانينيات وحتى 2015. بعد تقاعدها من الدبلوماسية، لم تترك ليلى النضال وظلّت تنطق باسم القضية الفلسطينية وحلّ الدولتين، وقد ظهرت في افلام وثائقية سياسية مختلفة، منها «ألف يوم ويوم: الحاج ادموند»، «الدبابة وشجرة الزيتون»، وفيلمَين حول مرافقتها لجان جينيه إلى مخيّم شاتيلا بعد مجزرة 1982، «أسير عاشق» و«جينيه في شاتيلا». تزوّجت ليلى من الروائي المغربي محمد بردى، وقد منعتها رسالتها النضالية والدبلوماسية من إنجاب الأطفال، لكنّها كما كانت تقول «أطفال الحجارة في الضفة الغربية وأبناء المخيمات في لبنان هم أولادي». قرّرت ليلى بنفسها الرحيل في 18 شباط 2026، رافضةً أن يحدّد صراعها مع المرض موعد الفراق، فقرّرت وقف التعامل بدبلوماسية مع المرض. (Leila Shahid (1949 – 2026 #LeilaShahid, a Palestinian diplomat who represented the Palestinian voice in Europe for decades, passed away on Wednesday. Born in Beirut in 1949 to a Palestinian family exiled by the British Mandate following the Arab Revolt, Shahid carried the Palestinian cause and its people's demands to France, Brussels and several other European countries between the late 1980s and 2015. Even after retiring from diplomacy, Shahid continued to speak out for the Palestinian cause and the two-state solution. She appeared in several political documentaries, including The Thousand and One Days of Hajj Edmond, The Tank and the Olive Tree, and two films about her traveling with Jean Genet to the Shatila refugee camp following the 1982 massacre: Prisoner in Love and Genet in Shatila. Shahid was married to Moroccan novelist Mohamed Berrada, but her activism and diplomatic work prevented her from having children. As she used to say, “The stone-throwing children in the West Bank and the children in the Lebanese camps are my children.” Shahid took her own life on February 18, 2026, refusing to let her battle with illness dictate the time of her farewell. She decided to stop dealing with the illness diplomatically.
