Again in Tripoli: A building collapses in Bab al-Tabbaneh In the second incident in around two weeks in Tripoli, an old five-storey residential building collapsed on Syria Street in the Bab al-Tabbaneh neighborhood. Initial reports suggest that three people, including a child, have been rescued so far, two families are trapped inside the collapsing building. Lebanese Red Cross and Civil Defense teams launched search and rescue operations, and a fire broke out as a result of ignited gas cylinders. According to figures released by the Municipality of Tripoli, around 700 buildings are at risk of collapse due to structural issues and are in need of direct intervention, including 105 buildings that pose an immediate danger to their occupants and demand urgent evacuation.
